You've been very lucky!

Hasn't it been cancelled, though? Shame as it was an enjoyable romp.

Not as far as I'm aware. There's certainly a second series.

Not as such, unfortunately! I suppose I meant realistic in its imperfect nature. Or something.

So, Top Of The Pops is back for 2 big specials, on Christmas Day and New Years' Eve. But alas no permanent return. A mistake, IMO. The problem with the show was the f**kwit presenters, not the programme itself.

The problem with TOTP is that musicians and their pop videos are now all over the place. E4, the Hits, the Box, YouTube... Back in the day, you only ever saw pop stars on TOTP.

And I still only ever did. :)

I NEVER see any music now.
Practically the only place I ever saw any videos and bands was TOTP.

I have no idea what's in the charts anymore whatsoever.

I don't watch music channels because most of them are taken up wirh American reality shows and the same bland hip hop videos over and over.

Bring TOTP back!!!

Agreed on every point. It was my sole source of music knowledge.

Which says more about us than TOTP. But still.

Who was the last good presenter on TOTP, then?

Are you talking good good? Or cheesy good?

Bruno Brookes lol

Well... both I suppose. Or either.

I remember Vic and Bob did it once.

And maybe even Lee and Herring...? But I must be imagining that.

I think they went through a phase of trying to get more "hip" people in to present it. Not sure it ever really worked. I always quite liked the cheesy old dinosaurs like Mike Read and Dave Lee Travis presenting it.

I prefered it when it was the old DJs presenting. Wright, Edmonds, Saville, Travis, Brooks etc. Good times!

And the guy who used to be married to Anthea Turner years ago.

The name escapes me though.
