Great News I Am Unable To Discuss...

Hi guys, having been getting back into therapy (seriously) over the last few weeks, after an erratic period, I hope everyone is well.

So, had my first meeting a few weeks ago with -------- ------ at Channel - and having done the 3rd draft we are now on our way to getting towards developing the pilot, to be broadcast in next season's Comedy -------- series. One of my producers is ---- ----, which is great, as --- has produced the films ----- -- --- ---- and --- ----. (I think that's enough of that.)

My point is, that I imagine there are a number of writers on here who would love to make specific/boastful/encouraging points about how a newbie can make progress, yet as soon as you get somewhere, inevitably you have to become more circumspect and secretive. (I was completely a newbie, and in some respects still am, only a year or so ago.)

I am now physically terrified of f**king-up deals by talking about any success, because a) I'm a pussy, b) Legally, things actually (I'm not joking) become an issue and c) I'm a pussy.

What I'm trying to say is that I now understand why any writer (on here) who is getting somewhere might be less-than-verbose. And to all new writers, good luck. Just remember, there are some really good writers on here (myself? Meh!) and it's a pretty good place to start.

Anyone else with some success wish sometimes they could discuss it further? Or do they (admirably) have far more self-constraint than I?

I love hang-man. Let's all work out those blanks.

Luckily, i have zero comedy success, so i can shout my (lack of) comedy progress over the roof-tops.

Congrats Tim and best of luck on seeing it all through. Just. don't post too late on here and risk screwing it up!

Thanks for the concern, Badge. Don't worry, I am immensely sane at the moment. There will be a point (hopefully soon) where I can divulge some interesting details. Just not yet.

Cheers!

Tim, don't know you but Good Luck - Seriously! :)

sssssshhhhhhhhh.............

Nice --- Tim, well ---- mate! Proof that we can --- somewhere even if we ---- beginners not -- long ago!

D-n

Well done Tim. Good news indeed.

I know who the producer is. You were too accurate with your blanks.

Well done and good luck with the pilot.

Yep, well done from the Slaggs.

So do I but then again he did tell me.

Like I've said before Tim... good luck.

Yeah, you also have to watch who you slag off. There's people who read the boards that have very long memories. And if you're making a living from telly, you can't always pick who you work with. Sometimes these things come back to bite you on the arse.

You're not telling Tim anything he doesn't know from personal experience there.

Ah, THAT'S why you've been so desperate to get me on the phone. :P

Would this be one of the things you're working with Tim on then Seefacts?

Oh, and well done Tim.
