Six pages of this?! My God . . .

You should read his diaries!

You should read his diaries!

As soon as it comes out in paperback.

I think the trick is to learn how to enjoy your own company

In other words, have a wank. Whistling nnocently

I'm surprised you can still type.

My hands are crippled talons, like Davros. They're unable to flex out straight now-a-days.

if this is how Mike gets after just three dates, then I dread to think what he'd be doing if this was a long-term relationship.

A more uncharitable person might suggest it was WHY he wasn't in a long-term relationship. But this isn't the thread for that sort of thing and we aren't that sort of person, EMS. I hope.

I haven't really read any of this thread, or the other one, but if this is how Mike gets after just three dates, then I dread to think what he'd be doing if this was a more serious, long term relationship. Huh?

But three dates of positive stuff, perhaps being lead on, a yes to a fourth date, then firming up the offer and receiving no response, it's hard to take. It's easy for you to make judgments when it's not you in this situation.

I did wonder the same.

Fair enough, but again, it's easy for you to judge when it's not you that's in this situation.

I think it's because I'm a hardened dater now, with cynical views. Unfortunately, it's the way it is now hun. :(

P.S. Been in situation many times. I am a stoopid fool who falls in lust way too easily.

The reason it's not easy is because I've been let down by so many people. Well 3 to be exact.

Add two zeroes to that and you'll be a match for me, Mike. :)

Ellie, no way is a stupid fool. You understand the rules to rugby for a start.

Act interested in someone else and see what the game plan is then........if she bites you know she is shallow if not....... nothing lost and be glad it was only 3 dates........... many more to come in life there!!!

I will make judgments because I had been in a long term relationship (4 years) that ended (although we did get back together two months later), and yes it was utterly terrible. Worst two months of my life. But you're like this after just three dates? Come on! Count yourself lucky it ended now and not later. This is nothing.

The first part of this sentence made no sense to me but the last two words had my world making sense again.

:P

I always wonder if people view what makes a long term relationship differently. To me... it's anything that lasts two years plus but some will say 6 months!

If they ever saw me again, I chalked it down as an LTR. Even if they passed on a bus.
