Americans can't say Craig properly though. For ages I thought his name was Cregg. Which isn't even a name.

That is very, very weird.
It doesn't seem to be aaall Americans though, just most of them, the little tikes.

Brilliant show and I agree that Hal is one of the best sitcom characters ever created.

Apparantly a lot of it was down to the actor, the original scripts had him as quite a conventional 2D character compared to Lois, and so he decided to play Hal as almost the complete opposite to her.

I think you can only get the 1st series on DVD. I think it has a lot to do with the music rights, which is the same reason why The Wonder Years isn't on DVD yet.

Well, I can live with that one!

:S

Love Malcolm in the middle simply a brilliant show and it's one of those rare shows that has gotten better with time, in my opinion, better than the simpsons.

MitM is definitely a classic. Did "Breaking Bad" ever air in the UK? It's a dark, semi-comedy about a high school chemistry teacher who takes up meth cooking as a hobby. It stars Bryan Cranston (Hal) and is highly recommended.

Loved the first few seasons but I stopped caring after a few the 3rd season. Don't know why. It was still pretty good I probably just had something else going on at the time.

It was on digital channel FX (which I don't get) however when it started iTunes offered the pilot for free download (so, I have seen and enjoyed it).
I haven't read the whole thread (so someone may already have mentioned it), but my most abiding memory of Bryan Cranston (besides being the B5 Captain asked to make a futile gesture and make a suicide run) is of him accepting a British Comedy Award for Malcolm in what appeared to be a full black tie tux only for the camera to move a bit to reveal a mirror behind him which revealed him to be bare assed naked from the waist down . . . the man has no dignity . . .

Just rediscovered Malcolm. The current BBC2 repeats are obviously from late in the run, but there is no obvious drop off in standards. Need to do some catching up on this methinks.

They also can't say "Graham"... pronounced "Gramm" for some reason....

I agree, Malcolm is a truly great show. You have to check "Breaking Bad" too - a terrific dark comedy/drama.

Also, what's the deal with them saying "Grampa", on shows like The Simpsons?

Malcolm in the Middle would be an ace title for a porn film about troilism.

I like Malcolm in the Middle, but haven't seen it in many years. I have happy memories of watching that back in summer 2001.

How about a Harry Corbett Porno - "My Hand, Sooty's Arse"
