But are you laughing at that because you're picturing a sexually-abused little girl lying dead at the bottom of the ocean, or because it seems "naughty" that you're laughing at something you shouldn't be?

There's another factor to all this that people rarely point out - you tend to find humour like that a damn sight less funny when you have kids of your own, because your first thought is picturing your own children in that situation. Which isn't funny.

Exactly. When you grow up and have people in your life that you'd kill or be killed for, you don't find that sort of stuff funny.....

.....because you're too f**king exhausted.

Whats yellow and reads the news?

Jeremy Pacman

Says it all......first funny joke on here and hurts no one. Has he pushed boundaries...no, he made people laugh instead.

Quote: Dolly Dagger @ November 19 2008, 3:29 PM GMT

No, I'm pointing out how the joke doesn't work on levels it was orginally praised for. For someone usually so pedantic and keen on accuracy, I'm very surprised. Standards are slipping...

Comedy is often born of inaccuracy, misunderstandings, and scenarios not based on fact. It doesn't need to be accurate.

Well you don't.

Only us amoral cretins who don't share your empathy and values.

Over analysation?

Isn't that what FAMOUS PROBABLY GAY PERSON is into?

For some reason Tom Cruise springs to mind, but I don't know who you're talking about. :)

:D

Sounded like analisation, I think I was being ironic.

As opposed to Aaronic.

Funny then and funny now??????

Aaron have you ever considered a career as a suicide bomber?

Not entirely sure what the two have in common...

I'd say anyone that really laughs at the holly gag is on a par to those jacking off too one cup.

We really do need an 'applause' emoticon.

I can't help thinking that if you ever have children one day, memories of this will come back to you, and you won't believe you found that funny. Or you might believe it and just feel terribly guilty and bad about it all.

With my sense of humour, it's more likely that I'd still tell it - or an updated variation, depending on the latest kid to be murdered by their parents disappear.

What was that clip this is referring to about? I didn't look at it.

I'm laughing at the wordplay.

Ooh is that a sly the McCannes did it gag jsut sliding on in there?

Anyway what's wrong with people being sexually stimulated by 2 girls?

If they were consenting participants, then it show's a prurient Victorian desire to impose values.

I think most people, be they parents or not, have someone in their life who they'd kill or be killed for. I know I do.
