They start to play the cantina song, looking very depressed as they do so.

Fantastic a very simple clever joke that works.

Dare I ask if you took my advice on generating ideas?

Thats brilliant :D

would look great animated :)

Do you know what I did, I just went out for the day and forgot all about writing and on the tube I started thinking up ideas again. Most of the new ideas are pretty short and simple. But I will be taking a lot of the advice from the other thread if I get stuck again. There is a lot of good advice on this site! All you smart people.

Fabulous !

That's very funny indeed. Would only work as radio or animation piece though.

Hehe, very funny.

Why? It'd work extremely well (dare i say better) as a live action piece. You'd just need to source/ make costumes.

I got costum......

ahem. Yes. It would look awesome if done in real life.

Yeah.. in my head I thought that that the fact everyone is a real person apart from the band would make it more amusing.

How about this for irony?

I love sci-fi but for some reason I have never seen *any* of the Star Wars canon so I don't understand this joke.

For years I have always been proud in a reverse snobby sort of way but now this major gap in my popular cultural knowledge has let me down.

Not great as a review for your sketch so sorry Sammy but it looks to be well received by "those in the know" and I sooooooo want to get the joke.

It's very funny, like it.

It reminds me of the Big Train sketch with Kevin Eldon singing the Streets of London song. That's not negative crit, just saying is all.

Good work Sammy, you have a real talent from what I've read so far.

It's not just the costumes I was thinking of, it's the prosthetics etc where you start getting into silly money territory. They'd have to be made to look just like in the movie in order for it to not look crap.

I mean yeah, if a show had that sort of cash to splash around it'd be a great sketch but everyone's cutting back these days.

That was all

Adam and Joe stylee?

With toys and stop motion?

Naaa to Robot Chicken and they did Star wars thing not to long ago similar.
