That's the way I read it, but, given that ninety per cent of the submissions will arrive this Monday, it will take weeks for them to print off the inbox and wade through them all, so I doubt they are going to be too rigid about deadlines. (But I would still advise getting them in on time.)

Doesn't the BBC have a vast computer programed to identify comedy gold.
They feed all the e-mails and it sifts out the very best?
Thanks I will now have to smash up my computer and rip out my broad band.
Clowns are evil and should not be on the internet.
That's my three sent.
Does anybody else start out with lofty ambitions for these things - to create comedy nuggets of shimmering incandesant gold - but ultimately end up sending in some old shit you've had on the hard drive for years?
Hey! It wasn't 'old shit' -- it was 'unappreciated comedy genius'!
Dan
Why? Do you have a nice stereo?
Dan
I know...
<looks at shoes>

I sent off my three last Thursday. Two bite-sized gags and a longer one.
Is it usual to get an acknowledgement of receipt when you submit stuff? I haven't received one yet, although I've no particular reason to believe it didn't get through.
No, you don't usually get a receipt for this sort of stuff. First I heard from Play & Record and Tilt was the producer getting in touch. (In fact, for Tilt it was recorded before I knew anything about it!)

I've just been told that one of my sketches was "a bit - and I mean this in a nice way - Two Ronnies".
This has come up a few times in Critique, that I remind people of the Two Ronnies.
I can't work out how good or bad that is. Maybe it's quite good but just 20 years too late.
Feedback already? All I'm getting is the usual tumbleweed...

Damn I've already failed.
Oh well plan B ticket to Pakistan and infamy as Al Quaeda's first Jewish member.
What's wrong with the 2 Ronnies anyway?
I had a meal today it was abit Gordon Ramsey, I heard some music it was a bit Mozart
I went to Gordon Ramsay at Claridges. It was the best f**king meal I've ever had. The service was worth the money by itself and they didn't look down at me at all.
Julia Davis was at the next table too.

Did you storm in the kitchen and shout at the spotty sou chef till he cried.
Before making every one take their pants off so they could become a team.
All the time swearing like a tourettes sufferer from Glasgow.
