How To Deal With Hecklers

This is wonderful. And check out the guy sitting next to the loudmouth woman. Could he BE any more uncomfortable?

I don't really have any sympathy for that woman. She missed the point completely and made an idiot of herself. I noticed the bloke next to her didn't follow her.....

Oh gawd, that was so cringey. The man looked like he was going to boo.

Why do easily offended, sensitive people go and see live comedy? I've been at a gig where an audience member got bothered like this because they didn't understand who or what was actually the butt of a joke - like this woman appeared not to.

Why do hecklers go full stop? It's something I've never understood.

That was really cringey!

I went to an Anvil Spriingsteen gig where this arsehole in the audience shouted "Boo" about a story Anvil had told about his next door neighbour losing an eye. When Anvil asked him why he was booing, he said something about his daughter having cancer in her eye.

Truly, it was toe-curling. Anvil had nowhere to go except say "What the f**k has that got to do with my story?" To which the bloke shouted "If I had rotten eggs I'd chuck them at you!" I looked over and his missus was sat there covering her face in embarrassment.

I mean, shame about his daughter but what a prick.

I never get that philosophy. But he would have laughed if he was talking about another type of accident or illness?

I've done stuff about serious illness and it's quite clear that I'm the butt of the joke; it mostly it got laughs, but also got a few sympathetic 'ahhs' (mostly from women) sometimes which was rather off-putting....

The thing people forget is that it's a comic's job to make people laugh, and they will draw on every day things...not matter how serious they are... and it's not to be taken personally!

When we were in London on the saturday, we went to see some stand up comedy. It was Ian Stone and Rob Deering and there was this guy who had parked himself smack at the very front and went on all the way through. Granted, they both handled him really well but it got annoying for everyone in the end. It appeared the only reason he came was to tank up and have a go. How sad do you have to be to do that?

It doesn't just happening in comedy. When I've taken part in live art in the past, you always get one bumhole kicking off but then they usually get set upon by everyone watching.

My local club I go too is so freindly and nice and Hecklers are really looked down on. The audience always turns on them and tells them to shut up. Hence why we get such good comedians there.

People who scream racist at every available opportunity should be shot on sight.

Very funny clip though.

I particularly liked: "Well of course I want your approval, I'm a f**king comic!" :)

Yer... haha!

Thought Jimmy Carr handled himself fairly well here:

Anyone seen the Bill Hicks one, where he repeatedly calls some woman a c**t? Good stuff!
