Maybe you should write that Goddamn sitcom.

I don't get it when "non essential" businesses stay open on christmas day. My local Sainburys does! That's just mad!

I like a nice break. Gives me a chance to get things done at home.
I've got so much travelling to do all over the country seeing family, that it won't be much of a break.
Yes, but I'm sure there smiling faces will be worth it.

I've never had to do the 'big family thing' at Xmas as all my relatives live a good 2 hours from us. Apart from my cousin and her children. I live in such an overspill town.

I have two sets of parents; good when I was little, two loads of pressies! A real ball ache now though, as I have to travel to see both over Christmas. Only this year I don't, because my new job isn't giving me the time off! So it's ups and downs for me this year really.
I shall be smashing the living f**k out of every single copy of 'Fairy tale of New York', in order that it can't be played for a few years and then, when I hear it again, I might actually enjoy it as I used to.

Same as me.... divorced parents means alternating who I spend Christmas with each year... this year it's Dad. Luckily for me, Grandparents are travelling to each of my parents so I don't have to do extra trips there this year.
I only have one place to go at Christmas so I'm lucky

Me too this year-my own front room, heating right up, scoffing chocolates!

What are you, a woman?

Why would you say something so mean?

I often think the same. But then stop and realise that not everyone observes Christmas.
But it's the only day of the year when the Tube is shut, IIRC!

Hopefully they just get all their Jewish staff or people who hate Christmas to work on Xmas day.
It's evil to make people do it, otherwise.
Actually, I think people who moan about how much they hate Xmas should be forced to work through it.
That'd teach the miserable buggers!
