Vote for Bussell, Ricketts and Stott Page 20

That's why I never like comps with voting systems like this.

It does feel like your fighting a battle with the odds stacked against you. You can't rely on ability, only on the hope you can get enough friends, to ask enough of their friends to vote for you. It has crossed my mind that the MySpace peeps must know that they may end up having to back and pump cash into a lemon, just 'cos they've got loads of mates.

It's all to do with popularity... same as Strictly Come Dancing.

So we're currently Heather Small, and not John Seargent-is that what you're saying! Teary

Yep! But I have voted loads... but I'm guessing they don't count votes that come from the same computer.

I hear what you're saying but we knew what this thing was when we entered it. I've been in these sorts of sponsored comps before and this is just the way they're run. Perfectly good acts will end up trampled under the weight of teenagers and their legions of internet savvy friends. Way of the world.

What matters to us is to make it to the final and be given the chance to put our material in front of some industry types. The prize and the promotion are just a bonus, if that. A friend of mine wrote the script "Faintheart", the winner of the £1m MySpace movie mashup prize, and so far it's proved as much a blessing as a curse the way he tells it.

That's why I try to avoid ones likes that. I know I wouldn't stand a chance.

Please remember, people, David Bussell isn't a twentysomething like Stott and I. He's into his 30s, so HE NEED'S THIS!

Good luck in having a surge and getting in to the top six then, Dave.

Gee I didn't know about your age impediment, mate! I thought you were about 29.

It's not Frank Carson, is it?

I have given a name to my pain. And that name... is Ricketts.

Yeah, I was until Ben blew my cover.

Is he the one playing God in the vid? ;)

Yeah, I was until Ben blew my cover.

I bet he did.

Holy f**k! We've dropped to tenth! We're bottom! What the hell is going on?! I've got a bad feeling about this. How can all the other entrants know more people than us? Every single one?! 'Cos it definitely aint going on video quality!

This is going to be some bitch to turn around. I'm feeling a bit glum about our chances now.

Awww guys... that's awful! I wander how the others are doing it?
Do you think it matters if you vote from the same computer?
