British Comedy Guide

A blog by Marc Blake?

I responded to the post wanting ideas for the new writers section of the site.

I noted my opinion saying a blog by Marc Blake might be useful, but not sure if this was picked up?!

The reason I thought this might be good is because this site recommends using Marc for scripts etc, but some poeple are unsure whether to do so, the blog might go someway to getting more insioght into what he does and the contacts he has therefore making people want to use his service.

Also, Marc runs a comedy course at City University and it would be good to hear how the course runs etc.

Just my views though.

I don't like Marks who spell their name with a C. It seems wrong.

I thought they were just Marcus's (plural - marci??) who have dropped us.

Though Mr Bolan was just being pretencious...

It could have been worse. He could have called himself Rolan Bolan... Oh, he did that to his son.

I think it's 'Roland' though. And if you say it like that girl off Grange Hill it doesn't sound as bad...

It's definitely Rolan. There's even a Rolan Bolan Fanclub.

I do hope my original post will get some comments at some point. Not wanting to stop the fun of course.

I'm waiting on Aaron to comment. He'll pass it on to Mark I expect and see what Marc says. You coming to the meet Mike.... Marc will be there! :)

In fact, I'll move this to writers discussion so no more going off topic guys! Thanks! :)

You could probably contact Marc directly about this. I'm sure if he wanted to do this he wouldn't make it exclusive to BSG so its probably outside of this website's remit. Also, he's written a book and has a course so if you're really interested you can find out more about those.

I went on the course and there is a description about it on the website.

Thank you.

I will definitely try my best, and will let you know so you know whether to book me a place at the "funny table" if need be.

My Marc Blake blog idea was not because I want to know more, but thought that it would be helpful to all as he has good contacts, runs courses, and is kind of in the industry. It's not a blog he would need to do everyday, maybe once a week, or a few times a month.

I remember Marc posting on this site before, has he any views?

And on a serious note if you want some illumination from a blog I can reccomend reading back through Micheal Jacob's blogs on the comedy college listed on the writersroom site.
