Apparently in a lot of the southern states, gun sales are on the rise because they think that Obama is going to ban firearms. So they're stocking up while they still can.

Love guns? No, but they realize that the right to own guns is important.
Love God? Some do, some don't. Same with the Democrats. Obama has spent an awful lot of time talking about his church.
As for taking away guns? I don't think anyone thinks their guns will be taken away. But during his career Obama has supported the banning of all handguns and the severe restriction of long guns. His policy is that it's ok to have a single-shot rifle or shotgun, but nothing else.
I'm buying a handgun and "assault" rifle when I get back to Texas. Might as well buy them while they're still legal.
