Certainly louder than the loony left.

Only if you choose to believe what the media feeds you. And I worked at a newspaper for 8 years and many of my best friends work for the media. Privately, they'll admit to being biased for Obama, but they'd never admit it in public.

There will be at least 2 years for him to claim that his lack of progress is due to the enormous burden dumped on him by the Bush administration. The current congress is still saying the same thing years after promising to be the hardest-working, change-enabling group of representatives in history. You think Bush's approval ratings are low, the numbers for the current congress are much worse.

The pay is only $400,000 per year; peanuts compared to what he could make on the outside. Bill Clinton has made $52 million in speaking fees since he left office.

I don't think anyone but the most gullible (surely not you, DaButt?) thinks Obama's earnings will be linked only to his official salary as President. If he only remains in office one week, he is effectively 'made for life'. You know that.

As for him having two years to blame Bush. If that is so, it is a sad idictment of the gullibility of your fellow countrymen. Wise up, y'all!!!

To be fair though, our lot are just as dim. If they vote the Tories in next, the Tories will blame Labour for the entire duration of their term! Laughing out loud

Republicans:

- Love war
- Love money
- Love guns
- Love god

That is no exaggeration.

Apparently in a lot of the southern states, gun sales are on the rise because they think that Obama is going to ban firearms. So they're stocking up while they still can. :D Very funny.

Yes, I thought the bias on the Fox Network towards Obama was shocking. ;)

I think he's Blair-like, spinning here and there, keeping some things quiet, and just making sure he gets there. Now the proof of the pudding is in the eating, because many people, huge numbers of black Americans and people sick of the Bush years are expecting something. Wouldn't it be nice if he did succeed at making some good changes? Let's be positive for a moment.

I'm with you.

Give him a f**king chance and you might be pleased. :)

It'd take Peter Sutcliffe Seefa- Peter Sutcliffe to go down any worse.

Yet another lorry driver/prostitute joke... Resign immediately, immediately I say...

Yes. that is what I meant about the loony right being louder than the loony left... Eh?

and I don't automatically believe anything the media tells me. I'm talking about actual people giving their actual opinions on the internet. and there are lots of complete idiots out there. I don't see why you have a problem with that? You can't seriously be disagreeing with me that there are lots of nutters on the internet?

The BBC didn't even try to hide it.

I actually prefer it when people on TV show their preferences. If they prefer Obama or McCain, I like to know. Even newsreaders, I like to try and guess how they feel about a subject by their tone.

Good (about the BBC not trying to hide their bias). If I pay my license fee I at least want the coropration to reflect my political biases. Especially now they've gone and suspended a presenter I particularly like. And let's be honest, Obama winning is great. I don't care if it all turns to shit, this is a great moment in history.

No it's not. I'm hoping for an assassination. ASAP. :)

Shut up you silly sausage.

It won't work. He's protected by a bullet-proof aura of goodness. :)

*shakes head*

Obama has a lot of public goodwill behind him, from all over the world. Think of how momentous it is to have a non-white president. That's actually very amazing.
