We commented on that (yes there was a group of us watching). We thought about the seatbelt thing... and he ended up getting hurt because of it.

I've just been informed that a lot of lorries don't have seatbelts. Oh well.
Seriously? Well they should have said that then.
Also, how obviously set up was the car falling out the back?

James' did, he had his on. I think they all do, but I don't believe you have to wear it though.
Very.
Morning all!!

Ha! Nil has just revealed that he is an ex-trucker!
Boom! Still the best show on TV!
I think it funny they must have to have someone on the production team driving along behind them paying for all the damage they do... cars, road signs, road surfaces, all ruined.
The montage at the start makes it look like a particularly exciting series - particularly the India adventure. Now Ross is off-air they can get some A-list guest too - no more boring Michael Parkinson.
Oh I liked Parky.

Awww Parky wasn't that bad. But yes, could end up with some VERY good guests.
The series looks AMAZING. I've got it on record.
Quote: Winterlight @ November 3 2008, 10:08 AM GMTAlso, it appeared that Jeremy Clarkson wasn't wearing a seatbelt for the majority of his driving in the lorry. It may have been on a private track, but it's a reckless example to set.
I noticed that when he fell out of his seat. The next cab shot showed that there actually was no seatbelt.

Not at all.

Would explain a lot.
I'm simultaneously going to agree with Mark AND Aaron here: Top Gear is indeed the best show on TV. I can tell cos I got all giddy when I knew it was back and act like an excited child as it comes up to 8pm. Also, I can't bear to wait to watch it, despite recording/downloading pratically everything else, I make a special effort to see this programme. And *every* series is too short!
And Clarkson is an absolute legend. He's actually a genius writer/producer type, cos he has created exactly the impression of himself that he wants everyone to see: half-loved, half-loathed and controversial enough to sell lots of books and a worldwide TV format whilst having a shitload of fun doing it!

>_<
How bloody stupid. Top Gear recieved 188 complaints regarding them saying lorry drivers murder prostitutes. IT WAS A FREAKIN' JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Was it lorry drivers or prostitutes complaining?
It was Clarkson complaining. He didn't get enough complaints...
