Of course Torchwood, K9 and company and The Sarah Jane Adventures are proof you don't even need a Dr.

Thats because they're not Doctor Who. Eastenders gets along fine without him too. In Doctor Who, you do need the title character. Otherwise its not Doctor Who. Its some other show with different lead characters.

I reckon it's about time for a female black Dr.

But who?

Little Ms Jocelyn!

Keanu Reeves would make a smashing Doctor Whom.

Keanu Who:
(SURFER TALK) Daleks-whoah . . .

Oprah.

I see no ones mentioned James Nesbit yet; his names always connected to the role, and has had form with The Moff on Jekyll.

The thing is, Nesbit's already said he wouldn't do it.

Good.

Best: Brett from Flight of The Concordes
Worst: Marilyn Manson

If they want to go for a younger Doctor, Ben Wishaw might be a decent choice.

The idea of Nesbitt doing it is quite appealing. Great actor. The fact that he's said he wouldn't do it means bugger all.

But I'll stick with my first choice of Mr Ifans. I think a big name choice, maybe for a year or two, would be a good idea after four years of Tennant.

Rab C Nesbitt.

See ya Daleks ya bunch a diddies, ah ye me best mates, get bevvied up?

I've also seen him say he would consider it . . . . he's a trickster . . . He'd have to be pretty silly not to even consider taking on the lead in what is one of the biggest shows on TV.

I don't actually think he will though.

Rab C Nesbit would make an excellent Who.

Oi Bussell don't pinch my assinine gags!

I don't like the idea of having a Doctor who's under 40, so this time go for someone much older. You could have a young male assistant carry out the running about etc, and have a more sedate actor in the lead role.

Too old now, I would have liked someone like David Ryall to have done it, he would have been great. He was pretty sharp in Shelley.

Best: Anthony Head, David Warner.
Worst: Ben Tovey, Paterson Joseph, Nesbitt.

Mick Martin from Dog Borstal, with an especially badly behaved K9?

I did Rab C. Nesbitt about three pages back!
