But comedy show commentaries are awesome!
They're sometimes even better than the show itself. And outtakes are ace too. You do watch the outtakes don't you?...
No.

Nope! Like I say, I have never seen any of the so called 'extras'.
You absolute couple of nutbags.
WATCH THEM!
I've watched one or two but I find them boring, especially comedy ones, where you can hear the actors and director laughing at their own jokes.

I've been called many things in my life but never a Nutbag!
OK, I have given in and just seen my first ever extra as I have just finished watching the Green Wing Special (never seen Green Wing before until the other day when I got all the DVDs) and have just seen the alternative ending which I personally prefer to the one they chose! So I must admit, it was worth looking at the extras so might take a look in the future...
I don't think I've got many DVDs with out-takes/deleted scenes/etc.
As a writer (of sorts) if the performers on the commentary are also the writers of the show, it can be totally fascinating. You learn all sorts about how it was written, and how the industry works.
The League of Gentlemen and Spaced dvds particularly are just amazing.
You really are missing out!
Its good to get the Extras because at least if you're really bored they're there if you want them - if you've got nothing better to do - no life etc etc etc.
Good DVD commentaries (*worth* listening to);
Anchorman
The Mighty Boosh s1+2
(I thought the League of Gentlemen dvd commentary was pretty typical of boring, "oh, she was greeeat...", "I dropped that prop in one take", shit you get on most hollywood film commentaries.)
Have you seen the documentary extras on the League dvds though? Seeing them just sit around in pairs trying to write for months on end is hilarious.
Mighty Boosh ones are great I agree.

The 'Darkplace' commentary is absolutely useless for this... but it is totally bloody funny...
Ha! I can imagine.
I really should get around to buying Darkplace.
If only for the Padre.
The outtake of Dylan Moran trying to cough his cigarette into his wine glass was very funny I thought.
Spaced it full of orgasmic extras.
If you get the Hot Fuzz DVD you'll be cumming for days.
Classy.
