I'm not overwhelmed and I often thought what a pity that they seemed to have settled for the obvious joke rather than think about it a bit longer and surprise the audience. I only watched it till the end cause I thought Timebomb was brilliant (and some of the guest characters).

Yeah, it wasn't anything overly special, but I still enjoyed it. It was an easy watch with a decent rate of chuckles. Timebombs torture scens were really good last night! Adam Buxton turned up too! I think seventy percent of all the comedic actors in Britain seemed to have been in this show!

Well, did anyone else stick with this till the end? I rather enjoyed it and hope it gets another series.

I kept missing it after about episode 3/4. Did they start f**king with the times, or have I just lost track of it?

No, same day/time every week! I nearly forgot myself several times; it's a unique experience, to remember that you want to watch something on ITV2.

With you 100% there.

I really really hope it gets a second series although hopefully next time they will air it @ 10 instead of half ten as I mised 2 episodes as I was too tired.

Well, I watched the final episode on ITV2's repeat last night, and thought it was brilliant. It's an entirely different programme from what we saw in the, IMO, pretty dire first episode. Really glad I stayed with it, as it's been so rewarding, and a delight to see Nicholas Burns and the excellent, much underused James Lance back working on screen together. Really, bravo. Turned into a cracking series, and I'll definitely be looking out for them commissioning another.

Well done, ITV. :)

Well said chief, great programme. Easily the best new sitcom of the year.

Off the top of my head, I think I'd agree; but it's really not saying much, is it?! My mind is actually blank, I can't think of any other new sitcoms at the moment. Hm. There must have been some other good ones??

How Not To Live Your Life. And Lab Rats. Which I liked. Even if everybody else thought it had popped out of Satan's stinking prick.

Lab Rats was pretty poo I thought; I only ever saw Ep.1 of How not to-; but I didn't enjoy it.

And Moving Wallpaper. And Ade Edmonson's 'Teenage Kicks' which was good knockabout fun.

Also the fabulous Keith Lemon's Very Brilliant World Tour - also an ITV2 creation.

Not a strict sitcom though, that one.

Oh, and Empty. Trexx And Flipside. Massive. Never Better.

In fact ... https://www.comedy.co.uk/list_years.shtml

The Inbetweeners is probably my favourite sitcom from this year, with How Not To Live Your Life & No Heroics a close/joint 2nd.

Ah! Of course, E4's little beauty! :)

Inbetweeners is probably the best new comedy of the year. The BBC have had a bad year for launching new stuff.
