Aaron implicated in US election shame Page 4

See that's the weird bit.
You make it sound like it's unamerican to not support your president, even if you didn't vote him in and you don't even like him.

Is that what you're saying? Or am I just very confused...

Dabutt, you're not going to convince any Brit that McCain is a better choice than Obama (apart from Aaron of course, who has a habit of liking all things shit).

As Spagett said, this election has a massive effect on the rest of the world, and the whole world wants Obama. So please do your fellow forumers a favour and vote for Obama. Wave

I think he's already voted! :)

I already voted and it wasn't for Obama.

I agree with both Zooo and Eat My Shirts, now known affectionately as Shirty because I cannot be bothered typing out eat my shirts all the time, :S

The point Zooo made is very interesting. It does seem to be sometimes that no matter what you have to support the President if you are American.

Again it is the opposite in Britain, we feel no obligation to support the Prime Minister simply because he/she is PM.

If anything sometimes I think we are too quick to moan but there you go.

We like our country and we're proud of it. An Obama presidency will disappoint millions of people around the world.

I can guarantee you it wont.

Just wait and see.

Well England seems to want Obama. And who cares about the rest of the world?

Despite your vote against him, I still think Obama is going to win. Unless of course the votes are rigged again, which is a strong possibility.

Everyone's been saying Obama will win. I still don't believe it (although I do want to). I really believed Bush wouldn't get another 4 years, and we all know what happened there.

I would have thought after the last 8 terrible years under Bush America would have wanted a change.

I know the American Election is pretty much a popularity contest but surely after 8 years of Republican rule, and lets face it it has not been the best 8 years. it is time to give the Democrats a turn.

I think most Americans would disagree that the last 8 years (or any years) were terrible.

I'm on the phone with my Obama-voting best friend and he's talking about whiny Europeans and visiting the middle east with B-52s. Trust me, an Obama presidency will not result in touchy-feely peace on earth.

It's because John Kerry wasn't really all that great, and no one really took a liking to him. It's a different story with Obama though. Which is why there's more young people voting in this election than ever before. It those votes that are gonna seal the victory.

I knew that there was a reason I liked you, EMS.
