Aaron implicated in US election shame Page 2

Is there a thread on the US election?

Be interesting to know what people think and who they would back if they could vote.

I also was not shocked to see Aaron is a Mccain man.

Considering he wants to bring in Universal Health Care, take troops out of Iraq ,is Pro Choice and wants raises for nurses and teachers I don't know how anyone could hate Obama that much.

And he loves kittens and rainbows. Don't forget the kittens and rainbows and other pie-in-the-sky promises!

Laughing out loud ditto.

Not quite sure what that comment is trying to say.

I am aware that he won't be the God people are claiming him to be but considering Mccain won't take troops out, doesn't want universal health care and isn't pro choice Obama is the better option.

From the looks of things too thats what America seems to be thinking as well.

I'd vote for Obama!

DaButt is from Texas. All Texans love Bush, and will obviously now be rooting for McCain. Eh?

Just reading that Mccain is also supporting Prop 8 which is trying to ban same sex marriages in California whilst Arnie Schwarzenegger is opposing it.

When "The Terminator" is coming across as a more socially aware and decent politician than a Presidential Nominee you know something is wrong.

McCain is old for President at 72 so if he served full term he'd be 76 and with a dodgy ticker that leaves us with the prospect of Palin in charge if he cops it.

Yikes!

1) Iraq: The U.S. and Iraq are very close to an agreement on troop deployment and reduction. The details leaked so far say that all troops will be out of the cities and redeployed to remote bases (for contingency purposes) by the summer of 2009. All troops would be gone by the end of 2011. This will all be taken care of before Obama or McCain even take office and they will be obligated to follow the plan. It's a reasonable plan and it's based on the needs of the fledgling Iraqi government, not the needs of 2 guys running for office.

2) Universal health care: We're talking about a $2.5 [i]trillion[/] per year expenditure on health care. Either candidate is going to have a difficult time selling an $8,000 per year, per taxpayer medical plan. FYI, it's not as if Americans are left to die if they don't have medical insurance. My daughter spent 12 days in the hospital this summer and racked up $65,000 in bills that she'll never have to pay.

3) Abortion: Political candidates always make a big issue of it, but the fact is that abortion will never be made illegal in this country. There are no real threats to Roe v. Wade, but every candidate loves to use this polarizing issue to his/her advantage.

Yeah, and Palin thinks abortion is wrong even if you're 11 years old and you've been raped by a family member.

She's a swell gal...

So I don't think you should judge it as who do you prefer out of just McCain and Obama. Palin's too much a part of it.

But f**k it, it's not even my country.

I've lived here for 2 years. Before that I lived in California, where loving your fellow man held an entirely different meaning.

Watch the election results - you'll find that every state will be almost evenly divided between McCain and Obama. The fantasy of Red/Blue states will be revealed as bullshit.

Alas though zooo it eventually affects us all in the long term.

Until America is no longer the most powerful nation on Earth we all have a vested interest in their elections. :(

It's gonna come down to Florida again.

Look up Obama's views on gay marriage. He does not support them and has said so many times.

No, I'm just not an Obama man.
