I know it was probably the best move for Fawlty Towers to end after 12 episodes but I can't help but lust for more after watching them. I was wondering if i could think of any plots for episodes they couldve used. Any ideas?
Storylines for New Fawlty Towers Episodes?
What about a sequel where Basil the Rat opens up a hotel for rodents. He's constantly harrassed by Sybil the Tawny Owl and several guest appearances by Tom Cruise (who's now looking for thrills larger than your average hamster).
There has been a silly rumour for years about a 13th episode existing. The plot was meant to be a power cut in the hotel.
I quite liked the idea of film that was mentioned by JC. Basically they are flying to Spain to meet Manuel's mother and they get caught up in a hijack where they try to get the flight diverted. So incensed Basil fights back.
Of course the place burnt down so they couldn't shoot any external scenes there even if they wanted to but that would be a good way to getting them opening a bar in Spain. Mind you, I don't want to put ideas in peoples heads so it's better it just rests in peace.
I wonder if they'd still be married nowadays?

In the more liberal 21st century Basil and Maunel no longer need to hide their love for each other.
Fawlty Towers is now a B&B used for assylum seakers by Torquey council.

Yes, and Basil splits with Sybil and re-marries a woman who eventually takes most of his money, meaning his has to sell his home and move back to London.
Basil finally snaps and beats Sybill to death. With Manuel. Before finally being halted in his murderous campaign by the Major and a shotgun.
Basil goes on holiday and stays at Guest House Paradiso.

That sounds terrible, and not Fawlty Towers at all. It sounds like one of those crap TV-to-movie conversions of the 70s, such as Are You Being Served?.
I hope they never make any more, because I love it.
I would like to have seen a Christmas Special. Same goes for Red Dwarf, and The Young Ones (with Cliff Richard joining them singing Mistletoe and Wine).
