British Comedy Guide

Would anyone like to be a guest on my MSN show?

In the summer of 2006 I started a comedy panel show with my comedy troupe entitled "Comedy Wyvern's Clockwork Orange House of Fun and Doughnuts". I really enjoyed doing it but unfortunately the other members have several iother things they want to focus on right now and as a result we rarely get together to play ay more. As a result, I have turned my attention to the internet. And where else to find funny people than The British Sitcom Guide.

I have now created a spin-off of CWCOHOFAD entitled "I'm Sorry I Wasted Your Time" It is loosely based on I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue ut obviously more amatuer. The games I have designed are quite suitable for the internet and I think we could have a lot of fun with this

If any of you fellow comedy fans are interested please e-mail me with your MSN address and we can work out a schedule

I hope to see mny of you soon. Thanks for reading.

Yours B.H

Can you be a bit clearer as to what this involves exactly...?

Basically there are four participents and the game consists of four rounds. It has a bit of an improv element to it but Im sure its nothing you guys cant handle.

Round 1 The Continuing Tales: I give the panelists a subject and they have to make up a story one sentance at a time. The most points go to whoever contributes more to the story

Round 2 Question Time: I think of something and you have to guess what it is. You can however only use questions that require Yes or No answers. If I get sick of waiting for you to guess I start giving clues. Most points go to whoever guesses first and runner up points to whoever give it the best effort

Round 3: Who Killed Laura Palmer?: I give the panelist various pieces of evidence relating to a crime and they have to come up with their own conclusions as to how it happened. Ponits are awarded to the panelist with the best analysis

Round 4: The Facts of Life: Surreal round in which every question has been pre-determined to have be unanswerable. Since the panelist will never guess the answer on the card I give points for witty or cose answers

Thats all. What do you think?

Sounds interesting... Are you thinking of getting people together in real life though, or recording online in some kind of group convo dealie?

Aaron, Aaron, Aaron!!! I wanna see/hear Aaron on this! :D

No god no I couldnt do that. I just think that this can work on MSN because its mostly vocal and quite a few people can interact at the same time. I already do a Room 101-esque show on MSN and that works fine. So is that a possible yes from you sir?

After the show has recorded it gets posted on Myspace and if I can I'll post it on this forum

Well, it does indeed sound like a lot of fun, but I fear that I am by no means witty or quick enough to participate!

Listen i'm a lonely quiet northern boy in a forum of proffesional comedy writers, I think you'll do just fine. Its doesnt matter if you're not hilariously funny, just your participation will be enough

I don't use MSN, or have a mic. I'd like to hear the resulting show though, I'm sure someone here can do it. :)

Welcome btw. Wave

I would like to get involved, but I am a bit rusty with off the cuff comedy.

Do you have an examples of your work?

Honestly, the best joke ive ever written is "The only good thing about being a clown is your father can't tell you to 'Act your age, not your shoe-size'"

Thats literally the funniest I can do. If you can be funnier than that shit you'll be fine i promise

I'd be pushing myself.

I've done a bit of stand up but that's thought up beforehand of course.

Any links to your previous work?

You dont need a mic. Its MSN, you can just type. I wont be recording your voices just what you say

No previous work to report. I'd like to do stand up but it'll take a while for me to get funny. I'm writing a sitcom though if thats of any interest

that's fair enough, I'm interested... I'll ask one more time, any previous work?!
