We'd be good in a cop show.

Aloof Midget Cop, Argumentative Ageing Homosexual Cop?

Yes, but books might help somebody hone and develop their talent further. There are a lot of naturally funny people but they haven't got a clue how to put that altogether in a script.

I would agree with this.

Def.

Knowledge is a dangerous thing in the hands of the ignorant.

Raw talent can almost always be improved by refining.

There's a reason most screen plays come from people who read books or did courses on the subject.

If you've no talent you may find all your left with is a well polished turd. That said some one may still produce it.

But if you study you don't have to keep reinventing the wheel.

And Griff is back!

:)

Didn't we change the locks?

I may have to revise my nomination for the best writing-related book I possess. I came back from holiday to find this on my doormat:

Are you still trying to gay me up?

What's the book like?

I'm going to put it on my Xmas list.

Jason Arnopp gave it a good review on his blog.

Cool, I'll have to check it out. Cheers Griff.

Yeah, because you read books.

I build small forts out of them, actually.

I've got several for only 1p a time. Do I win something?

I love those 1p books!

Shame about the obligatory £2.75 postage you have to pay...
