Got free tickets to see W. Should be interesting.

W(atchmen)? :O

*looks on internet* Oh, W. Hmmm I'll give it a miss.

If only!

Nah, the new Oliver Stone movie about George Dubya.

edit: normally I wouldn't be fussed either, but the tickets are free so meh :)

I recently watched Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder.

PA was awful, I feel sooo let down after Superbad. :(

TT was better, though still not as fantastic as I'd heard. TC was the best thing in it. Brilliant 'cameo'.

I told you so. :) Now imagine PA with half-arsedly translated German dialogue and porn dubbing, and you know why I left the stoned grown-ups and the sadly not stoned teenagers alone in their mysterious joy. They should be stoned.

We also agree on TT there. Who'd have thunk it.

I was pretty stoned, it didn't help. :(

He was fantastic was he, I loved his dance at the end too. :)

Bloody loved TT, Downey Jr was unstoppable...the trailer at the beginning killed me Laughing out loud

Yeah, the trailers were brilliant.

"Ima dude, playin' a dude, disguised as anutha dude!"

Laughing out loud

RDJ is awesome.

I thought Coogan was pretty good for the small amount of time he was around.

Next week's sneaky preview will probably be Quantum of Solace.

Here's a question to my native speaker friends (that's you!): Is 'quantum of solace' an established figure of speech? I ask, because they've translated the title as "Ein Quantum Trost", which is correct German (which can't always be taken for granted), but not a common figure of speech and also sounds pretty stupid, whereas the beautiful equivalent to 'a quantum of solace' would be 'ein Quäntchen Trost'.

No, it's not. I've heard of all the words, just never together. :)

Okay. But they're still twats, the lot of them. (Film title translators, that is.)

It's a f**king stupid title. How are they gonna work that into a song?!

Especially as Falco's long been dead and buried.

Ha!
