Yes, being talked down to by a guy in his early twenties is a surefire way to chase off that voter apathy of mine.

Honestly, I don't care a whit for politics. It's not because I find it dull, I simply take an epistomological stance to voting. Labour/Conservative, all much-of-a-muchness. No-one really knows whether either party is going to live up to its promises or not. The act of voting is just an act of arrogance. Do it if you have to but don't rail against people who choose not to.

Supreme Leader of the Galactic Federation (President of the USA). Many states have early voting to ease the lines on election day. I'll be flying to Florida on the 4th, so I'm voting early.

I don't really see how that would be any better. Since most people, and therefore most constituents are just as much arseholes as politicians are now.

I'm not having a go at you (honest) but just asking in general, why do people want to keep things like that a secret? (apart from so that people on forums can't have a go at you or prejudge you because of your politics.)

I'm sure that makes sense, but I've sort of lost the thread of this... thread now.

You mention people getting 'het up' - I don't think it's any different to the general way the people who don't vote go 'And?! Why should I vote, it's all the same!!' As if voters are somehow uneducated idiots who can't see through the system.

People who vote are arseholes, as are people who don't. There.

I was just joking in order to accentuate my Messiah remark. I don't really care for either candidate, but I voted for McCain in 2000 (even after Bush had sewn up the election) so I figure I'll give him another chance. Obama gives me the creeps in many ways, his rabid followers even more so.
