Freedom of Speech, its what seperates us from the Parrots.

Give me strength.

:D

*bangs head against wall*

This isn't going to be resolved, just agree to disagree.

This is supposed to be a light-hearted comedy forum and whilst there is nothing light-hearted about the Madeleine McCann situation. Can I suggest we keep it to a formal discussion and on topic?

Aaron isn't here to defend himself and until he is, that argument is heavily unfair.

So for now, let's stick to the original topic, Madeleine McCann.

Now thats what I call good moderating

"You would'nt let it lye" cor is that the time already...must get some milk for my Crunchy nut cornflakes... a question on this whole topic....whats your favourite womble

Okay, I think anyone who finds the idea of Madeleine McCann rotting in a shallow grave in her parents' garden amusing is vile.

So this has happened has it?

You are being an idiot.

You clearly are a shit stirrer and for that I'm giving you your first warning, two more and you're out.

Did you not see Aaron's wee smiley? You must have missed it.
And, hey, are moderators supposed to be personally abusive? You pathetic wee lickspittle.

Aaron chose to respond to the charge of being a 'piece of work' with the following:

Why, yes. Yes I am.

Hardly contrite.

I asked fairly and tried to be unbiased as I could to this discussion by trying to steer it back on topic.

If you can't talk on here without resorting to childish name calling, then you shall be warned and then removed.

Whoa! I really can't leave you lot alone for one minute, can I? Christ!

Right, here goes...

Firstly, I'd like to fully echo Baumski's comments. Some of the most reasoned and sensible arguments here seem to have come from the 15-year old. Not sure whether that says more about her wisdom beyond-her-years, or the intellect of certain other members. Anyway.

On the topic of my original post, I'd like to clear a couple of points up.
a) I don't actually remember typing in that smiley. Habit perhaps? Either way, I should have pointed this out and maybe ammended my original post when the point was raised this morning, and for that I apologise.
b) I don't think it deserves some of the highly over-reactionary comments that have been made, but perhaps was a little tasteless in how it was presented, so I apologise again.
c) Indeed it was a joke. But in the non-serious sense, not the har-de-har-har-harrr sense. Don't be so pathetic as to think otherwise. Rolling eyes
d) I don't for one minute seriously believe that she will be found in her parents' garden.

However, nor do I for one minute believe that she is still alive.

Actually, I'll change that.

She's obviously been abducted. BY ALIENS!

I am a mother too. My biggest fear when my boys were younger was their abduction. Whilst I have been a mummy I have read about children being taken from their tents in the back garden, whilst shopping with their mother, grabbed from their beds while the family sleep through it and more recently stolen from a bath while the mother was in another room.
Due to the pure fear parents feel we have become, well most of us, more aware of the evil in society. Thus we try our very best to secure & protect our little innocent, priceless, babies. The evil scums of our society have become more blatant.
Sicko's are everywhere in every country. Based on that fact I myself would never have left my child in a room anywhere while I went out. The poor parents of little Maddy have that guilt to live with on top of everything else. I am not going to judge them for doing that. I think our children should be safe ALWAYS no matter where they are. But i truly believe this fact. Whoever took that little girl was going to take her anyway. Maybe while she was on the beach & out of sight for a second. Her fate was sealed from the moment that twisted person/persons saw her. They would have used the first oppurtunity they had. I hope that little girl is alive with all my heart as do all of you.
