Well, so that's what you think!
What is it you want an opinion on? The deadline?
The deadline is definitely too soon.

I'm with you on that.
Has anyone had a go at Comedy Lab before? If so, how soon do they get back to you?
Is that the one where you need prod co backing?
You don't need to apply with a prod co, but I think it helps your chances if you've got the support of an experienced company.
I mean you don't your expecting them to do a lot of work on your behalf.
So you kinda need to be brilliant.

They say you don't need it, but really, I think you do.
Well yeah, because you're up against fairly established comedians who *have* got producers behind them.
But I guess if you have a concept and script that's really fantastic, Channel 4 will hook you up with someone if they want to develop it.

Exactly, but it is something counting against your script, and they're always looking for reasons NOT to make something. If you have a Prod company, then thats one thing that can't count against you.
I mean if I'm buying a pork pie, the guy with the pork pie has got more chancem than the one with a bag of flour and a pig.
Shit, I didn't realise this. I suppose there isn't enough time to get a Production Company involved now, either.
Maybe am missing something obvious but when it says 'send your idea', presume that means script?! Or have they intentionally left it vague? I understand the added value of having a production company attached etc but I do believe funny on the page goes a long way. Any advice would be great. Many thanks.
