And to keep the snow theme going: I once saw Jon Snow sat at a table in a pub with 2/3 of Placebo - that was odd.

When I was a kid we used to watch slag being poured at the top of a hill and covering the hill in a glowing orange. I watched it once with Paul Gross (the Mounty from the tv show Due South) and a bunch of other people after a film festival.

I am! I was in the Solstice. 
I can add to the Jon Snow theme - I had to 'look after him' at an insurance conference that my old company was staging and he was presenting at.
At one point he took part in a virtual reality car racing game that one of the sponsors had on their stand. He could barely fit in the seat and looked really odd with VR mask on.

It's a pub really but they do have live music sometimes and they do food. There are worse places.
I haven't been there on a night time in years though.
