Don't bring that up again :(

Hey! Your wounds are mine too!

I shall stop with the salt-pouring now...

:)

Dan

Huh. Might have a go. Might not. Might will. Might maybe not do.

Ed Morrish is producing.

My only problem with attempting to write for this is:

Just how many voicemail, email, helpline jokes are there that you can do?

I suppose finding a fresh twist is the challenge and the sign of a good writer, but I still can't help but think it is a somewhat limited concept.

Mind you, I haven't actually listened to the show before, so maybe it isn't limited. Is the show online anywhere?

Well, the BBC website appears to be down at the moment, cos there was definitely a pilot available before the first series, so you could listen to the tone and write something for it.

It's about modern communication. I'm sure a man of your talents could twist any sketch to fit that frame of reference.

It doesn't appear to be down to me. Here's the link:

Yeah, back up now! There are three example scripts here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/newtalent/showmethefunny/sketchfactor/entry.shtml
from the original 'Sketch Factor' competition.

There are a load of 'Sketch Factor' rejects in 'Critique' as this board was just getting popular around that time, and a few of them could be inspirational if you have a dig around and see what was going on at the time.

The platform announcer gag was quite good. I think I'll do some brainstorming and see what I can come up with as regards modern communication. Wikipedia is useful for this type of thing.

Nevermind Wikipedia, try Chickipedia. It's much more fun.

Not sure you can get full show recordings, but you might be able to find the odd sketch here and there.... here's two for starters, both from series two I think:

Presumably they'd want little quickies as they pay more for longer sketches?

I'm more of a Redtube man.
