I meet Paul Merton, he is one of my comedy heroes.
Wave And hello all I am new, and not black, but I am a woman. :)

Hello, Lilly. Nice to meet you.

Tee-hee. Naughty Winterlight.

I'm being lampooned!

Just because I'm great, doesn't mean I can't love other writers and comedians.

You have heroes, Seefacts? I thought you only had peers?

And modest, too. Unimpressed

I'm the most modest man EVER.

Thank you both :)

I've met a few people, but heroes? Hm. Ronnie Barker, Sid James, Eric Morecambe, Ernie Wise, Leonard Rossiter, Tony Hancock, Frankie Howerd, Benny Hill, I- Oh. Nevermind.

I met Benny Hill once (kind of) he walked past our primary school when I was a nipper so I shouted its Benny Hill alright Benny?

He shouted and waved "alright boys, alright boys very good"

I haven't actually met any comedy idols though I've shared a GP with a famous comedian and been in the audience of a very small, intimate Stephen Merchant gig.

How was he? Any good?

How was he? Any good?

Yes he was. It was in a small basement with a very low ceiling. he smacked his head on a low hanging beam on his way to the stage and ended up on the floor. I still don't know if it was real or an act. Good way to start the routine, though. Also he wasn't headlining either, just did a 20 like a jobbing stand-up - but he did flash his Baftas.

Ace! :)

I went to see Rhys Darby perform last night courtesy of the good peeps at ComedyBox and in the queue ahead of me were Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Richard Ayoade and Chris O'Dowd.

Not long ago I wouldn't have had a problem barreling up to the likes of Simon Pegg and braying drunkenly in his ear, but now I'm trying to muscle in on his territory it just won't do to grab hold of the man and yell "Oi, Scotty, stand still for my cameraphone!"

As much as I'd like to.

Did you touch them?

May I touch you?

I saw Arthur Smith in a pub once. He's exactly the same in real life as he is on the radio/tv.

I saw Stephen Fry in my local WHSmiths a long time ago. I didn't go over to him, but the helpful staff went over and bothered him. I probably would bother him now. I'd go up to him, put my hand on his shoulder and simply say "Inspiration".

Shoplifting was he?

You lucky bastard, he seriosuly is my comedy hero.

If I was gay, I'd shag him stupid.

err Anyway! I've not met any of my comedy heros, shame, meet a lot of circuit comedians I could see being big in about 3 years time but that's about it...
