Not silly because they should be shagging about!
But silly because *most* people are still growing up and changing a lot while they're teenagers and in their twenties, so in general I think making any kind of life changing or long term decision at that time can be a bit silly.
Including getting tattoos and having kids.
(Most people, not all people.)

I'm now too old to be able to marry young. Boo hiss.
Your only 21! That sounds pretty young to me. Who knows these things happen fast maybe you'll be hitched by 22 and 3 children by 23.
Tripleeeeets!

I'll be 29 when I get married this May...does that count?
You are on the cusp. I shall allow it.

Hm. Fair point. I of course know from experience that people are still growing up. Sigh.
Indeeeed!

Ha! Yeah. 21 in itself might be young, but what, you should probably be going out with someone for at very least a year before even thinking about getting engaged, I guess? So that's 22. Plus another 2 or 3 years planning, saving up, in most cases. So let's say 25. And that's all assuming that I'd manage to find a girl who was actually interested in getting married, relatively soon. Which I really can't see happening. So we're now pushed back until, what, 27? 28 perhaps?
And I'd consider 25, maybe 26, to be the boundary of 'young' in marriage terms.

I was about to question your maths there. Good call!

The bitch.
*shakes fist*
But why on earth do you want to get married young?
That's what chavs do!
Because I'd like to be with someone, am old fashioned and - sorry Gav - kinda romantic like that.

Can't really see the romance in your plan there.
Well you can't plan when you're going to meet 'the one'. It would be just as romantic to find them at 60 as it would at 20.
The sex might not be as good though.

It's not- Oh I can't be arsed to explain.

60's far more likely.

Ha.
(Well actually, 'not at all' is far more likely. But of the two examples.)

Or feel my wrath.

Doesn't have to be one or the other.
Romance and love are just the names we've given the effects of those chemicals.
