Ringo Starr, the crappest Beatle Page 2

World's luckiest man. If Pete Best hadn't pissed off Brian Epstein, Ringo would be a retired milkman in Dingle.

mmm.... at least five books I've read claim the band itself wanted Pete out and Ringo in, and it had nothing to do with Brian... except he was the one breaking the news to Pete.

Well you Ringo haters - good job he's not a muslim, black, jew, woman, gay or disabled!!! ;)

Of course, he's old isn't he ...and rich and famous..

I am a Ringo fan ... musicians (and in particular, other good drummers) KNOW he was an excellent drummer, and what other World reknowned pop star would actually bother to apologise to fans for not signing photys after doing it for bleedin' 45 years!

And do you really think a band the calibre of The Beatles would have a crap drummer? Get real!

He's still a tit.

I entirely agree with that statement, but what on earth is that first line about?

Which part of that line don't you understand?

If Ringo were a minority group he'd be up in arms or moaning about discrimination!

Most of it, I mean the BNP aren't suggesting we repatriate aging rockers.

OK. I'll go along with that. But would they accept Chuck Berry as a UK resident though?

I'll ask Nick Griffin at our next Klavern.

Poor old Ringo is a highly talented drummer, he was just surrounded by geniuses.

I reckon if Paul get's ill he'll kill himself.

Lest he be known as the shite Beatle who lived, for ever.

Why does Ringo ALWAYS wear sunglasses?

Not that I've checked his videocast. Maybe he uses his eyes in that.

My favourite Ringo moment was when an American journalist accused the Beatles of being 'English Elvis Presleys' to which Ringo responded to by going "It ain't true!" in an Elvis voice.

Good one, WL! I think he probably just likes wearing sunglasses. I used to too until they broke. Also girls can't see you staring so much.

Soot: Any of The Beatles are always up for stick, like anybody who makes it big in the entertainment World.

That Madonna, she's a cow ain't she?

Loved her early stuff though.

I liked 'Material Girl' and 'La Isla Bonita' as songs. But for me she is just too masculine and I don't actually like her voice.

But a major success she surely is.

She borrowed my (vintage) Rickenbacker 12 string for one of her albums, believe it or not! (gasp!) :O But I never met her or her people. Just handed the guitar over to a music shop and got a hire fee.

I am not a Madonna hater btw, don't send hate mail peeps. And sorry for introducing Madonna into a 'Let's get Ringo' thread.

Back on topic. :)

I like Ringo Starr in the Beatles's films. Especially A Hard Day's Night. Very funny guy.

And he did a super job in "Thomas The Tank Engine", and was reknowned for it too, despite what some posters have said!

Angelis did a great job as well!

I mave have words with the Fat Controller.. ;)
