Nerd News

Ok I was looking around for a thread that I could use to post some of the stuff I just read about but couldn't find one. I don't make new threads too often in the General section though.
Anyways check this out!

JCVD the movie: http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810028921/trailer

Also check out this new scene from the Hulk DVD, they say it's Captain America frozen in the snow... http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/news/found-captain-america-in-the-incredible-hulk.php
what do you think?

JCVD looks double plus up good.

JCVD Looks brilliant!

The Avengers is gonna rock!

Do you reckon it's going to be as good as Mark Millar's mega kick ass Ultimates.

That would be so cool, it would solve the credit crunch.

Best superhero comic since Watchmen.

Solving the credit crunch one punch at a time.

Yea man so far we've seen Iron Man, Hulk, Nick Fury and kind of Captain America.
Plus Thor and Ant Man have been approved.
An Ant Man movie though? Seriously the character is not that interesting. And if they go the Ultimates route he's also a wife beater.

Anyone have any thoughts on the new Spirit movie trailer? I think it might be fun. And the comic is a classic! But can Miller direct? We know he can write.

Or the Wolverine Origins preview I think this movie has a LOT of potential. I'm not a Wolverine fanboy or anything but check out the credintials of the director and writer. They've done REAL movies that were very good. The director did Rendition, Tsotsi and "A Reasonable Man". All good movies. And the writer of this movie did "The Kite Runner" "Stay" and "Troy". AND Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool!!! Yell yea I love Deadpool I've read almost every Deadpool comic there is.

Or the new Sherlock Homes movie with Downey, Law and Guy Ritchie. Seriously...I like Downey but you're telling me there wasn't one British actor good enough to play Holmes? Guh!

Punisher War Journals It's a complete reboot like they did with the Hulk...but will it be any better I don't know. I have my doubts.

Ant man in the Ultimates is an evil sod, but he's also fascinating and nuanced. The episode when he hangs out with that bunch of super losers was fab. Complex amoral characters rock.

JCVD looks brilliant, I saw a clip of it on aintitcool a while back which was really funny but that trailer makes it look even better.

Seagal would never cut his Pony Tail off!!

Antman....yawn. LOL! But the rest big thumbs up, I quite liked new hulk Film.

yea I love Deadpool I've read almost every Deadpool comic there is. Origins should be good Jackman is an awesome Wolverine, hope its a bit dark with him being feral after the operation :)

new Sherlock Homes That is insane!!! Never work Guy Richie can't direct/Write he had 2 good stories in him thats it. Downey Is just awful.

Punisher War Journals It's a complete reboot like they did with the Hulk...but will it be any better I don't know. I have my doubts.- Looks shite

Would they really go to that trouble to have such an indistinct image in a short clip that didn't make it into the movie? Maybe. I'd like to see a Captain America movie. Is he still dead in the comic?

As far as I am aware Steve Rogers is still dead while Bucky (Winter Soldier) has taken over the mantle. But Bucky sucks..sooo...he's not rally Captain America.
I really like Captain America too. He's a great character.
My bet is he won't be revived until the new movie comes out.

New shots of the Star Trek movie.

Check it out you can see Simon Pegg as Scotty in the background.

As a sci-fi nerd himself, Pegg must've been overjoyed, when he got that part.

Yea for sure! I would have. I'd have put on 50 extra pounds and risk my health just to play that role.

I've just realised, I forgot to add the word 'been', in my last comment, when I first posted it. I just want to let you know that the word 'overjoyed' isn't classed as a verb, over here in Britian.
