Nah, somehow I'm up near the top on any search for Irish comedy or stand-up. Any clubs up you way, Nigel?
Not much. The Empire does a comedy night. You could get a gig there. Other than that nights here and there usually in conjunction with arts festivals.
I thought that was really good. I struggled with some of the references but I find something innately funny in the Irish accent - before a joke has been cracked I'm primed for laughter.
Here's another full short set a few months later in same venue, supporting Joe Rooney (best known as Father Damo in Father Ted). Bit of crossover in material but alot of new stuff.
