While we're doing stand-up then

Here's an aul video from when I was starting out. Probably too much Irish material for this place and it stops half way through the set...

I like the microphone mix up, great start accidentally on purpose?

Seemed a rowdy place so you kept their interest!

Well done sir

Liked the 'as busy as Shane McGowan's tooth fairy' line.

You've almost 8000 hits on Youtube as well, got a big circle of friends Al? :P

Not at all, but it got their sympathy!

Nah, somehow I'm up near the top on any search for Irish comedy or stand-up. Any clubs up you way, Nigel?

Not much. The Empire does a comedy night. You could get a gig there. Other than that nights here and there usually in conjunction with arts festivals.

I thought that was really good. I struggled with some of the references but I find something innately funny in the Irish accent - before a joke has been cracked I'm primed for laughter.

Here's another full short set a few months later in same venue, supporting Joe Rooney (best known as Father Damo in Father Ted). Bit of crossover in material but alot of new stuff.
