Team America?

The Dark Crystal?

Pans Labyrinth?

Look Who's Oinking?

Two of those aren't comedies, one is a Simpsons gag and the other is bound to have been seen by a South Park fan.

And certainly if he hasn't seen Team America (I'm sure he has) I've seen it so often I can practically recite it. I love that film.

F**k yeah!

Jesus titty f**king christ!

sounds to me like a night for 'the medieval dead (army of darkness).' the third in the evil dead trilogy.

No it is a perfectly heterosexual arrangement not involving Seefacts.

Our womenfolk are going out for dinner and as sensitive new men we are going to stay in and look after his kid, ie get pissed in front of the telly and ignore the baby alarm.

Cue Sooty with endless U R A PEEDO!!11!!! jokes.

I don't even know Idiocracy (Googles...). Hmmm. Looks very promising.

Well at least you won't need to get Alladin.

How about the classics? Kentucky Fried Movie, Whoops Apocalypse or some of the old Comic Strips?

Knocked Up was meant to be good, but was soon annoying it made me want to kill something.

Biggles the Movie is one of the few films to be so bad it's funny.

That said most of my DVD collection are sombre 1960s-80s films about nuclear war.

How about Threads, there's a good joke about radioactive sheep in it.

Idocracy has a weak ending but it's very funny, and a rare high concept film.

If you can find it it's a Sootyj recomendation along with Nailin Paylin and The War Game.

Oh and Reanimator 1 is a surprisingly clever and funny film.

Isn't there something a bit creepy about men over a certain age sitting down and watching a film together? A bit like that scene in Autofocus.

Am looking for recent comedies. Idiocracy and In Bruges are winning so far.

Well whatever Autofocus is I'm not getting that one.

Must be a copy of How To Lose Friends And Alienate People doing the rounds. Cam, I expect, but still...

Maybe the evening will end up resembling a certain scene from Women in Love?

:D

Why is everyone on this board so keen to gay me up?

Aaron - yeah, like I'm going to watch a Pegg movie.

Well everyone else seems to be ignoring the 'Hasn't been out on DVD long' rule so:

Not a comedy but great fun to watch - Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon

The only good(ish) thing Chris Rock ever did - Pootie Tang

Has he seen Withnail and I?

Or an early Woody Allen comedy, Bananas, Sleeper, Love and Death, All you ever wanted know about sex, Take the money and run.

OK. LISTEN. THIS MESSAGE IS GOING OUT TO THE TIMEWASTERS. IF YOU FOLLOW WRITERS GUIDELINES THIS POORLY NO WONDER THEY TELL YOU TO FUCK OFF. I DON'T WANT A LIST OF EVERY FUCKING COMEDY EVER MADE. THE WHOLE POINT IS THAT I DON'T KNOW WHAT DVDS HE'S SEEN IN HIS WHOLE LIFE BECAUSE HE'S MY NEIGHBOUR NOT MY GAY LOVER.

That's why I want a new-ish comedy.
