Just a heads up on this really very interesting lookng documentary. It's on G.O.L.D., the new name for UKTV Gold, tomorrow night at 9pm. It's moved to channel 110 on Sky.

Featuring rare rehearsal footage of the team at work and in-depth interviews with key cast and crew such as Richard Curtis, Ben Elton and Stephen Fry.

I will certainly be recording it, yes.

At last Gold are doing an original sitcom programme again- they did a darn good Croft and Perry documentary about 10 years ago - don't think its been on since.

To be fair, they did make an excellent series a few years ago, The Sitcom Showdown - think Telly Addicts meets the Mastermind 'specialist subject'.

Oh yes, there was one episode of that that looks reeeeeeally good...

Quite possibly on YouTube. It's an interesting watch, but more or less just S01E01 ... Or was it S01E03... Well, you get the idea.

The Sitcom Showdown was cheap schedule filler. Don't bother watching it.

As for Blackadder Exclusive: The Whole Rotten Saga, from what I hear it is a great documentary... the new interviews with Fry and Laurie are meant to be a particularly witty highlight. There is one massive caveat on that endorsement though - Rowan Atkinson isn't on the show!
