I think it's the best animation I've seen from Shoepie too; great stuff all round!

Thank you Sir! Yeah it was a huge step-up from the simple talking heads stuff I normally scribble out.

The only one thing I thought didn't seem right was when the brain gets blasted at the end. How do we know it's his brain receptors getting frazzled? It looks more like he's being killed.

Yeah that was always going to be a bit of a problem to animate without writing 'Lobotomy Machine' on the arm. I hadn't realised though that he may have looked like he died at the end.

Shoe 'Burned in a pit with a fat-man' Pie

This is some damn good work.

Shoepie, always love your animations.

Busseller, you've got an ear for phrasing and comedy.

Funny, disturbing and lovely to look at.

Is it the violence you reject to?

Yeah, it gets in the way of the humour for me. The script is actually excellent and it might still work with some Run Wrake style animation, but Shoe pie's treatment is too bland for me.

I think it's probably more funny when someone tears their own arm off rather than having it torn off by a third party - that's got an element of cruelty to it.

Still, young people will laugh at it.

I do see your point, Godot. I have no stomach for violence myself. Real violence that is. This sort of cartoon violence I don't have a problem with. It's absurd and is served with a message - a positive one at that. Frankly, I see your criticism of it...

"I'd like to see it burned in a pit with a big fat man so it burns quicker."

...as being far more 'violent' than the sketch itself.

This had crossed my mind too :)

I'd love to be able to animate like Run Wrake but sadly I can't.

You mean I am the problem and not the solution? Shit.

On a related note an exploding head sketch featured in a recent episode of the wrong door. Did you see it?

Can't or won't?

I didn't, no. You loved it I take it?

No, it didn't work. It was just too surreal. There wasn't any build up - I think it was just someone sitting down at a table in a restaurant. Your sketch had much more to it.

You can probably catch it on iplayer. If you haven't already, I recommend you send them some of your stuff.
