What about Sean Lock- reckon he could do it.
I thought he (Leonard Rossiter) was excellent and liked both Rigsby and Perrin. Great comedy actor.
Nah! Not Lee Mack. You can tell he's a stand up and not an actor.
God knows who I'd suggest. Mark Heap probably.
I think any of Lee Mack, Sean Lock or Mark Heap could do it.
I actually think Julian Barratt would be better though.

Sean Lock's too laid back. Mack and Heap, on the other hand, have got the same manic quality that Rossiter had.
Lock's a better actor than Mack though. Comparing 15 Storeys High and Not Going Out anyway.

Dan Ashcroft?? If anything, he's even more unlike Rigsby than Howard Moon. At least Moon has got a slight pompous side to him.

I have fond memories of Leanord Rossiter as he was my dad's favorite comedy actor. My dad isn't here anymore so I like to watch Rising Damp occasionally.
Lee Mack is probably as good a call as any. Lots of the same mannerisms.
Robson Green. Looks JUST like Leonard. Flipping Norah.
