Lee Evans - Big

My missus just told me Lee Evans is playing live at THe Metro Arena on the 25th which ain't far from me, so I said I'd book us a couple of tickets as we're both fans.

I changed my mind when I saw the prices...f**k me! http://www.theonlineticketshop.com/shop/45045/lee-evans/lee-evans-metro-radio-arena-25-October-2008-tickets.htm

Hoooooly Shit.. DVD's out in november, I'll stick to that!
:)

A hundred and fifty quid?! Idiot. A comic who makes up for dull, ropey material, by moving around a lot and sweating. Hes a good physical comic, but not a good verbal one. There's no way in hell I would pay those sort of prices to see any comic. I really don't know how Evans could even justify those sort of prices, it's absurd.

F**k me on a bike... That's expensive.

Sorry I don't tend to pay over £4.50 to see a comedian, even good ones.

So there's 30,000 tickets available for the tour. 3 million quid anyone?

He's the comedy equivalent of a music super group.

Yeah, bland.

I paid £40 for mine a year ago. I am going on the 1st November and can't wait. Spoke to a couple of people who saw him at the O2 and they said he was amazing.

£40 is a bit more reasonable.. but still quite a lot of money!

Saw him at the Dome on Friday.

Flipping excellent.

When stand ups are testing material, you can normally catch them for free or very cheap doing 20 minute sets in clubs around the country, it's normally on the rough side sometimes *cough cough* Ross Noble.

But it's cheap and good way to get up close to some well known comedians.

Not you personally Aaron, but others have been telling me jokes from it. It's so frustrating. I just want it to be all fresh.

It's probably stuff like:

"And then the baby starts to cry!" (waves about arms, runs around the stage and does an impression of a crying baby in case anyone in the audience isn't familiar with such a thing. They'll be a high voice in their somewhere too. Crowd whoops for 45 minutes)

Ross Noble is "rough" on his proper shows, to be fair.

Someone who wrote on the abysmal School Of Comedy atrocity really doesn't have any place criticising the likes of Lee Evans.

Ross Noble is so rough he can be supported by a piece of hanging Velcro as pixies dance around with flutes up their noses wearing trousers made of steel that make no sense at all...
