Does Gervais think he is too big for Panel shows? Page 8

I have one of his stand up shows somewhere. Don't think I've ever watched it though. *scratches head*

There's a new Jonathan Creek episode this Christmas.

Great news! Do you know which sidekick'll be in it?

He's been in that kids' film recently. That one about Angus and Snogging, or something.

I've got his stand-up DVD, it's worth watching. But I did remember it being funnier the first time I saw it.

Really?? I thought that had long since kicked the bucket. I remember really liking the first couple of series, but then going off it a bit.

Yeah. And another new bloody sidekick type. I can't remember who though. Might have been Raquel Cassidy.

Sheridan Smith.

Ahhh. That's the one.

Thank you!

Hope it's a good story.

He had a different name, when he first appeared on T.V. It was some ridiculous made up stage name.

He's probably good in a naff sort of way.

Remember the panel shows replaced Spitting Image?

They should have far less panel shows and replace it with the full Spitting Image again, puppets and all, none of this cartoon stuff.

I really miss that show. Clever inventive and hilarious, because all the celebs and polititians were made into puppets.

It would be great if they still kept the panel shows mind. I really like some of them.

Who cares about Gervais? If any of that lot would be ace on a panel show, it's Pilkington. I would love - LOVE - to see Karl on Q.I.

If Karl Pilkington could be persuaded to appear on Q.I., the comedy panel show could evolve to an entirely new level.

Great call! Can just imagine Fry trying to kindly explain things to him.

Is JC really having a Xmas special? I loved that programme. The early ones had great acting and rapport with Caroline Quentin, and it had eccentricity and brilliant storylines. And loved the music. More please! Just hope it doesn't disappoint.

I remember one with the guy poisoned by the licky strip on envelopes, which was worked out after the pet gorilla dying. Sure I had reservations about licking envelopes for ages after that

"Mon dieu!" etc.

My older sister is brilliant at impressions, and had just made a tape of impersonations/sketches - some of which were written by a very young me - to send to the makers of Spitting Image, when it sudenly finished. She did eventually send it to Alistair McGowan, who said he thought it was great, but, other than that, nothing came from it. The tape's still sitting in a drawer somwhere, along with the Alistair McGowan letter. It's a shame really.

Shit!! I've just realised, I meant to quote James Turner's comment. Is there anyway I can change it?

Yes, you just edit the post. Easy.
