Hello folks, just discovered this website.

Hi there. A fellow screenwriter I know introduced me to this website. I'm a fan of all (good) comedy; US or British. My favorite sitcoms are:

Red Dwarf
Fawlty Towers
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Seinfeld
Still Game
Garth Marengie
Spaced
Rab C Nesbitt

...and a whole load of others that I can't remember from the top of my head.

I'm a professional screenwriter going for my MA in Screenwriting. Working on a couple of serious feature dramas and plotting a sitcom.

Hope to have some discussions about the sitcom world here.

Hi Julia, thanks. Marengie was a show that Channel 4 should have definately kept on. It would have been a roaring success. I think it was a matter of trying to convince some of the execs that the show would work. It's certainly not a run-of-the-mill show.

Big mistake by Channel 4.
