Bob Monkhouse - Give A Few Bob campaign.

I wasn't sure where to post this - so I hope it is in the correct place!

Bob Monkhouse was a great British Comedian who sadly died in 2003 but has been 'brought back to life' thanks to computer wizardry, a lookalike and a soundalike.

Take a look at the advert from the official web site below to see the new campaign for Prostate Cancer.

If you wish you can make a donation online or (like me) you can buy a badge from places such as WH Smiths.

:)

===================================================================

"In 2003, Bob died from prostate cancer, a disease which is now killing one man every hour in the UK.

Shockingly, although it's almost as common as breast cancer, it gets a fraction of the research funding. Highly promising research projects are ready to go right now, they just need the money to get started.

Please forward the film (made with the full support of Bob's family) to every man (and anyone who cares about a man) you know. Then click below to give a few bob. You might save someone's life."

What's this? Groundhog day?

Seems alright. I posted about the ad last week. It's over in Other British Comedy somewhere.

Anyway, give generously. The BBC charged for use of the footage from their archive, which Bob's widow had to pay out of her own pocket (just under £4,000).
