Morrissey is a total hero.

Oh you handsome devil, Griff!

Morrissey is a total hero.

We agree on something.

Ever seen him live?

Yeah, he was great. It's one of my big regrets that I never saw The Smiths live in the 80s, when I had plenty of opportunities. Up there with never seeing Tom Waits, my uber-hero.

I've seen Morrissey live twice in London, and once in Los Angeles.

I would've seen him in NY too. But he canceled the gig. He tends to cancel gigs quite often actually, the lazy bastard. :D

Yeah, I've seen Moz live twice in the last 5 years. When did you see him?

I saw him at the Forum in Kentish Town in, er, 1999 I think - possibly this gig.

I was also lined up to see him at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, along with Tears for Fears and someone boring who might have been Dave Matthews, but the bastard went and cancelled his gig (as others have mentioned he is fond of doing.)

Shit, Griff & Seefacts in agreement. This is definitely more of a threat to the world than the Large Haldron Collider. :O

Maybe we can disagree about which Morrissey/Smiths album is best.

Yes please! Personally, 'Your Arsenal' for Moz and 'The Queen Is Dead' for The Smiths.

Viva Hate is my favourite.

Smiths = Queen is Dead.

I don't like any of Morrissey's latest stuff. And his current band is terrible. Which is why I won't be paying to see Morrissey live again, any time soon. They're like a wedding band. The music has no OOOMPF. But of course, with Morrissey...it's more than just about the music.. :D

Too difficult to decide. I will abstain.

Lets find out.

Best Smiths album: Queen is Dead (though everyone says that)
Best Smiths single: This Charming Man (though everyone says that)
Best Smiths album track: Cemetry Gates

Best Morrissey album: Vauxhall & I
Best Moz single: November Spawned a Monster
Best Moz album track: Errrrrrrr, at the moment 'I Have Forgiven Jesus' or 'We'll Let You Know'

Plenty to fall out about.

F**k, we can't have me and you falling out.

Smiths: Stangeways, here we come.

Moz: Your Arsenal, Vauxhall and I, and the last couple have been extremely strong as well.

I've seen Moz three times; including the show that was released as 'Who put the M in Manchester?' Maxine Peake, of Shameless and Dinnerladies fame, was stood in front of me, dancing like a spastic.

Was it thin or fat era?
