Fans of the Boosh and Catherine Tate - four braincells between them, and aren't fans of real comedy. I despair meeting these people. Spoon fed in comedy, spoon fed in all culture I'd imagine.

Monty Python -

Everybody Loves Raymond and Family Guy -

I like all of thee things to some extent, especially The Boosh; does this mean that you shall never love me??

He doesn't love me either. :(

People who start getting loud and lairy after a couple of drinks. I HATE loud drunks.

People who don't understand that Spongebob is probably the funniest thing on telly at the moment. Seriously.

People that like Chubby Brown.

People that say "So did you see the match?" No. Because I hate football and now I hate you.

Practical jokers. I wish they all would die.

People that go with the general concensus in threads because they have no opinion of their own.

Men under the age of 40 with moustaches. A beard is fine. A goatee's fine. But a moustache? No sir, I do not like you.

We shall never know the tender love of Seefacts. *sobs*

Interesting re: Red Dwarf in Griff's opening post. 'Oh it's sci-fi - they're all geeks.'

I'M BACK FROM THE PUB NOW.

At no point did I say I don't like Red Dwarf because it's sci-fi. I love Hitch-hikers Guide To The Galaxy and Terry Pratchett and Galaxy Quest and all kinds of sci-fi/comedy crossovers. I just don't like Red Dwarf.

What I actually said was that I typically find Red Dwarf fans as unappealing as people who like trainspotting or go metal detecting. Also, I made it clear that the question was about which comedy preferences make you think you won't like a person. So, even if Red Dwarf was a good show, the point is "but I don't normally like the fans of it".

And of course it's a daft generalisation, I said as much in my post. I am sure I would very much like Matthew Stott if I met him.

I'm sure we all would.

Oh; well. Thanks? Maybe after a few drinks, a little kiss wouldn't be out of the question . . ?

Not after that whole Sylvester McCoy thing.

Bandage, I like French and Saunders. Will you beat me?

Oh, okay.

Cor.

Depends who's watching.

*raises hand* :)

Not sure I would take against anyone because they liked a particular comedy programme, though Are You Being Served and The Mighty Boosh for different reasons might both induce a shudder. But I would find it difficult to warm to anyone who did not like Tony Hancock. And I know from experience that there is no bigger passion killer than having a date tell you she doesn't think The Simpsons are funny.

I always warm to Futurama fans.

Up late, Timbo. What's with all the Boosh hate among BSG'ers?

Some people just find it too "random". Simple as that.
