I've dedicated the majority of my life to saving humans, which I've always found more easy to identify with.

I am always a little wary of people who "love" and "respect" animals with such passion. They always strike me as the sort of people who don't really like other humans.

I have to say I totally agree with this and found the goldfish story equally unsettling and sad. And I would call myself an animal lover. I've always had pets and made sure they are treated very well and have saved injured and abandoned animals, but - when it comes to spending time and money on anything altruistic - my efforts would go to humans first.

I'm glad my National Insurance is being well spent...

On the animals v. people debate, I must say a lot of people are arseholes, quite frankly and fewer animals are.

I've just been told a story from one of today's papers, about how some teenagers were egging on a suicidal lad, to jump off a building. When he did it, they ran over to his body and started filming it on their phones. Makes you think, doesn't it?

Animals first, no question. I'd put humans fourth after plants and the sky.

According to Ernest Moss it's "safety first, fun last" (I think)

Are you vegan? Is the username ironic? :)

I've just eaten a ham sandwich so it's safe to say I'm not a vegan. :)

Unless you're one of 'those vegans that eats ham'.

I've been PMSL at this thread. :D
Carla loves people, but I don't think she'd piss on a BBC commissioner if he were on fire. ;) I'd piss on one... if he wasn't.

I wonder if there are any documented cases of somebody being on a fire, and somebody pissing on them to put them out? I imagine it would be difficult to urinate in such a stressful situation.

It helps with jelly fish stings according to Friends. Not my friends you understand. I've had crabs at Cromer but not jelly fish.

I'm sure there are Eastern European women offering this service all over London.
