I'm surprised nobodies mentioned this show, because it's actually quite funny, and it's creator JJ Abrams has a real appreciation of comedy (there are in jokes about The Office in the first series of Lost, while in Alias, his other big show, both Ricky Gervais and Richard Lewis popped up). Anyway, back to Lost. It can be frustrating at times, and a lot of episodes tread water, but it's been a real television highlight of recent years, and I'm pretty annoyed that Sky's got it now.
Lost
My girlfriend's parents watch it, and she says it's utterly ridiculously unbelievable, but to be honest, I've not seen any of it. And even less likely to now that it's on Sky.
I wish I could post this under an assumed identity or something, but I watch it all the time. I kept promising myself at the end of the second series I'll stop, thats it, no more. So whats happened? I've started watching illegally downloaded episodes of series 3! Is this a problem?
I quit smoking in August and found that easier.
My problem with lost though, is that it's full of so many twists and stuff, that I don't believe the writers have any idea where it's going. They just keep writing it. And usually at the end of the episode I'll think, so what was answered in that episode? Nothing, but I've got plenty more questions.
I think I need to go to LA.
Lost is a show that eventually wears you down, then along comes a brilliant episode to build you up, but that was the first series, if there is one show on television, that really, pisses me of it's lost, the storylines are getting rediculous, and all the speculation about what is going on has drained away, it's losing it's touch i mean there is only so many characters you can kill, and there is only so many you can replace them with, i sat down to watch the last episodes, i was really looking forward, next thing i know, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, (that could have been because i was tired) it's boring t.v
i watched all of series one-enjoyed it to an extent. missed begining of series two...gave up.
series 3? are they actually planning on ending it?
Yeah, it should be finishing quite soon. I think they've only signed up for 8 series or so, so shouldn't be too long now....
i think there was talk of a movie aswell, 7 series, a spin-off lasting 7 series, a sequal and then they finally get discovered, but then it happens all over again, new people, 7 series, a spin-off, you know the rest (actually i made a lot of that up, my point is it's dragging on)
I think the show is absolutely brilliant. I watched an interview with some guy, from something or other who said the writers wanted to have 3 series but the TV Networks told them to stretch it out to 5 series.
I am loving this series.. It is driving me gaga.
I am also madly in love with the ex torturer Saied. He is stunning & the body on him. Ooooh & his hair. Gawd! He can rip my figernails off anytime.
I thought the first episode of season one was utterly brilliant - and then it all started to become silly. Too many unanswered questions and eventually I Lost interest. So now one of you good folks can bring me up to speed. I stopped watching it around about the time they found that underground bunker thing and it was all kicking off with the Others.
So tell me - first of all, what was that black cloud monster thing? And what IS the Island?
The writers didn't have an ending for a long time, which is why there were way too many twists and turns.
I can't believe they actually commissioned the show without a clear direction, or at least some sort of deadline for one.
They have an ending, they just don't have everything else, ha. I loved the 1st series. 2nd series was horrible. Thew newest series is turning out to be good.
They have an ending now, but they didn't for a while.
