Who else here thinks that James Bond is shit? Page 2

I can't believe I'm doing this, but I agree with Seefacts. I thought Dalton was much under-rated as Bond. His first film particularly was great.

However I don't really think James Bond is all that. I enjoy the films as a bit of escapism when I see them, but I could live without ever seeing another one. I didn't bother going to see the Daniel Craig one.

I keep meaning to read the Fleming books as a lot of people whose judgement I trust rate them highly.

I'd recommend you see that one Griff, it is by far the closest to the book.

Isn't that the point of Bond films - ridiculous stunts that make no sense?

Wellll... Not the most recent, which seem heavily inmfluenced by the Jason Bourne movies. And the early ones eschewed too much silliness.

Well he was good in the Rocketeer.

He wasn't as bad as late season Moore.

The books aren't that great, they're melnacholic, strnagely written and bloody weird.

You only Live Twice especially reads like it was written by a manic depressive with a type writer.

Now I really do hate those movies. Humourless, plotless, pointless action. There is nothing as boring as non-stop action.

Or funny campy Roger Moore, the Worther's original of super spies.

He was always my favourite. Although I did like Brosnan in Goldeneye, but that's the only Brosnan Bond I've seen.

Bond is great, and Dalton was a very good Bond; much better than Moore. Or Lazenby. Though Lazenbys actual film was pretty damn good.

Seefacts that's the equivalent of saying you're gay to seem cool.

Which fine Pile of Dalton are you referring to?

The Living Daylights, Licence to kill?

Licence To Kill. Ace film.

Though I'd say Connery, and Craig are close runners as being brilliant Bonds.

*raises hand* I do.

But you just admitted you like Macs, so I wouldn't trust your opinion.

You probably prefer another super spy who looks better, but isn't compatible with anything and has really crap and pretentious adverts.

I have seen a bond film actually. Octopussy is definitely one of the funniest films I've seen.

Bond vs drug dealers was a nadir that it tooks years to recover from.

No, Bond vs Incompetent studio execs who couldn't organise a contract and rights ownership in a nicely furnished office.

LOL. Are you talking about Mission Impossible? :P

Laughing out loud So very, very true.

*waves from behind a Mac, which has almost never given any compatibility problems*

Yeah, they're awesome. I actually thought Ultimatum was better, but on re-watching Casino then Supremacy I thought they were total equal in terms of sheer brilliance.

I will add though that Roger Moore robbed us of a good 70s and 80s Bond.

Bourne is great; kick-ass fighting, and an intriguing story. Though I hope they don't do anymore.
