It were people who don't know what they want to do with their life end up. In many ways it is like University, but with more drinking.
I hated school.
We sort of enjoyed a "Uni style" thing when I was in bands - in cellars, pubs, clubs, parties careering around in a van, signing autographs on girls naked bodies with our penis pens.. you know the sort of thing, you students!!!

Well I was neither, and I always thought school was Ok. University was much, muchly, much better though!
It's a whole different story when you enter University over 25. You take it a lot more seriously, especially when you are paying for it out of your own pocket. Plus I really don't think a lot of those kids in my classes are mature enough to understand a lot of the theory.

The best years of my youth were probably when I was 18-20, when I would have been at Uni. If I'd have gone. Everything's fun at that age, no matter where you are.

Prison?
School was a drag, and I was horrified at the thought of "Uni" but enjoyed my time at College doing electronics but only because the work was interesting. The other students were twats. I dashed straight to rehearsals/gigs after classes so we could shag more groupies in the van in the carpark. I was pretty serious about my music.
