LOL!

From New Scientist 1993:

The people at Interbrand Group of Covent Garden, London, (who do a lot of sitting-round-tables-thinking-up-names) have over the years noted many unfortunate brand names on their travels round the world.

Sweden and Italy lead the field, with Sweden giving us Fartek babywear, Krapp toilet paper, Bums biscuits and Nora Knackers crackers, and Italy weighing in with Dribly lemonade, Mental breath fresheners, Mukk yoghurt and Smeg kitchen appliances. Japan's offerings include Skina Babe baby lotion and Cow shaving foam. Then there are Spain's Bonka coffee, Greece's Zit lemonade, Cyprus's Cock Drops cocktail bitters, Portugal's Atum Bom tuna, Germany's Plops savoury snacks, Denmark's Sorbits chewing gum and, surprisingly, England's own Foul Medames tinned beans (manufactured by Leila Canned Products).

But the one that really caught Feedback's eye comes from France. It's hard to explain why this name feels so wrong, but there is something deeply unconvincing about an aftershave called Kevin.

Laughing out loud to Perry and Griff.

Fiat Punto in Japanese means small cock.

Whilst the Vauxhall Nova in Italian means won't go.

Language is a funny thing isn't it. Cos "BMW 3 Series Convertible" means "small cock" in English.

Yes, and "Noel Edmunds" means "complete f**ktrumpet". Weird, that.

Jaffa cakes; I will more often munch through a full box in one go. I won't even chew the buggers; down in one.

I met someone once who had been to the Jaffa Cakes factory and eaten a HOT Jaffa Cake straight off the conveyor belt. They had that sad look in their eye of someone who had visited a magic realm but could no longer find the secret door.

Although I'm on a diet now so this is the kind of sumptious repast I'll be having for tea.
