Awww I'm jealous. Can I have a beer DaButt? Did you make snake soup for dinner?

I'm making chicken fajitas for dinner. I also whipped up a nice batch of salsa.

Here's your beer. I bought the cheap German stuff because it was on sale and there are 2 more days until payday and I just made a $1900 mortgage payment.

But... but... I want to know what happened to the snake????

Thanks for the beer though!

I'm scared. I hope you can't read minds as well, otherwise I'm done for.

It's decomposing in my front yard and will eventually fertilize my lawn. Ashes to ashes, etc.

It will give birth to baby snakes? Awww*

*edited story so I don't feel sad.

You like it... all the perverted thoughts tell me so.

I had a feeling our resident German would make that distinction.

:$

That quite probably isn't even the real thing but some mysterious made-for-export concoction.

I hope you enjoy it, anyway. :)

The brewers have this to say:

The trend in Germany in the early 80s for pale beers in general has lead to a change of the Oktoberfest beer served in Munich. The colour became pale, due to different barley malt.

Especially for the United States, however, still we are brewing the Spaten Oktoberfest beer according to the traditional style. The full-bodied and sweeter taste finds more and more friends every year.

Ah, I know what that is then. It's rather full-flavoured, isn't it? We had a 2 litre bottle from a small private brewery recently. It's a completely different taste from the mainstream stuff, like Beck's and the like.

I'm having a Rothaus Tannenzäpfle here. It's more traditional, too.

:)

I like ale. I live near Britain's biggest beer shop. It's great.

It's not bad, but I'm always disappointed with the taste of the German beers I can buy in the States. But I don't think I ever had a bad beer when I was in Berlin last year. Maybe they don't travel well.

They had some of my favorite American beers on sale, but I went with an import to help avert the international financial crisis we're facing.

Honkers Ale!

That's a US beer I like.
